Employment Opportunities – Internship & Traineeship
Personal Growth Institute is a not-profit organization offering affordable psychological services in English, Persian, Armenian, Russian, Spanish and Hebrew languages. The institute has offices in Pasadena, Tarzana, and West Los Angeles and Irvine. There are openings for Bilingual therapists in many of our offices. PGI also is contracted with most universities in California as a training institute.

Interns and Trainees will have the opportunity to conduct: |
- Individual, Couple, Family & Group Psychotherapy
- Focused and support groups
- Crisis Intervention
- Intake Process
- Mental Health education via media & publication
- Multi-Cultural education and training to local Mental Health Facilities
- Marketing

Supervision & Training for Trainees & Interns |
- Weekly Individual and/or Group Supervision
- Monthly 4 hour Mandatory Training focusing on:
- Counter transference issues
- New applications & interventions
- Direct observation through role-play
- Role modeling through role-play
- Crisis Issues
|
Required Commitments: |
- Minimum 10 client hours per week
- Attendance and Full Participation at Individual and Group Supervision
- Attendance and Full Participation at the 4 hour Mandatory Training
- Attendance and Full Participation at agency organized events
- Minimum 1 hour per month of Marketing
- Having and up keeping a 1mil/3mil Malpractice Insurance
- Having and up keeping a private professional voice mail
- PGI is a drug free environment and drug test is required for hiring.

Compensation: |
- Trainees are hired as volunteers
- Interns are hired as employees Will receive a stipend based on a percentage of the monthly client fee.
- A $300 supervision fee will be deducted from the stipend.
- Up to 1500 hours, the intern will receive 40%
- Up to 3000 hours, 50%
- Up to Licensure 60%
- Licensed Professionals will receive 70%
